Latest Update from CA dental association Regarding new COVID-19 orders:
Latest COVID-19 closure order does not impact dental practices.
Today Gov. Gavin Newsom took an additional step to slow the transmission of COVID-19 by closing indoor operations for many business sectors throughout much of the state.
At this time, these restrictions do not affect the provision of essential health care services, including dental care.
Dentists are advised to continue to adhere closely toCDPH guidance, including the recommendation to have two weeks of PPE available, and to access CDA’s Back-to-Practice Resource Center for training, checklists and other tools to support dental practice during the pandemic.
Update: Opening back to business on June 1, 2020
We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. The last few months has been challenging for our community and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, our commitment to exceptional dental care has remained the same and will not change. While we have been closed for many weeks, we have been in constant contact with our national and local professional groups to learn more about the problems with this pandemic and how to best return to our regular treatment. As the guidelines are being updated almost daily, we are updating our facility and processes to provide safety to our team and patients. When it is time for your next visit, you may notice some changes to support the latest guidelines. HEPA air purifiers, disinfectant fogging, acrylic shields/sneeze guards, UV light sterilization, sanitizing station, and High Evacuation System to help reduce aerosol during dental procedures will all be used to protect our patients and staff.
We are looking forward to seeing each of you again as we put all of these new procedures into place. We thank each of you for the trust you place in our ability to provide excellent dental care and hope for continued progress against this virus. We are all in this together and we will do everything we can to create a safe environment for you and our team.
